Elizabeth Samford and Hortencia Moore both grew up in Southern California, the California sun and beach scene has inspired these talented women to create fashionable and functional swimwear. Liz having worked in the apparel industry for over 25 years launched her very own swimwear line in 2005. Since then, ABBL Swimwear has grown into a unique blend of designs that range from classic to sexy coverage and resort wear which is where you will find our knit dresses and cover-ups with matching accessories.
In 2009, Elizabeth began to offer Custom Made Swimwear for women of all shapes and sizes, or special needs such as scar coverage or sun coverage. During this time Liz met Hortencia Moore who loves fashion has a marketing and sales background and was in need of a custom made bathing suit. She was so impressed by the results of her new custom made swimwear that a friendship sparked and the two women became partners. There is no doubt that ABBL Swimwear produces beautiful sexy quality functional swimwear for retail such as boutiques, hotels and spas and individual sales on line.
ABBL Swimwear has been featured in 2010 Surf Magazine Swimsuit issue and has appeared in publications such as the Apparel News, Women Surf Style Magazine, Teen Magazine, San Diego Magazines and in Fashion Shows around Southern California.
Elizabeth and Hortencia are women designing for women and they understand the challenges of finding a comfortable yet fashionable bathing suit to meet any woman’s needs.
